Use a good quality padded case - Protect your racket from potential damage or breakage if kept open.
Do not leave your racket in a car - High temperatures loosen the strings, change shape of the frame and damage the handle of your racket. Extreme low temperatures can make strings dead and inflexible. Keep your racket in a cool, dry place.
Use Over-Grip - Put an over-grip to ensure non-slippage of racket. Change over-grip frequently if you sweat a lot.
Most Important:
Avoid Miss-Hit - The frame of the racket can crack or buckle if the shuttle hits right at the frame. This can happen with any newly purchased or old racket, specifically carbon or graphite rackets. Breakage does not mean that the racket is defective or faulty.
Avoid Clashing - This is the commonest cause for breakage of racket, especially during a doubles game. So be careful not to bang into each other’s rackets during doubles.
Very High Tension- Every racket has a tolerance level in terms of its capacity to withhold tension. Do not exceed suggested tension while stringing.
